The Back on Track appeal has got off to a flying start and almost £6,000 has already been raised since it was launched in January.
Mark Harradine, chairman of Stourport Hockey Club, said: "We are delighted with the enthusiastic response the appeal is receiving.
"It is heart-warming to see the generosity of the local community and their understanding of our difficult situation."
He added: "It also highlights the valuable roles that the hockey and athletics clubs play in the local community.
"The response to the appeal has given us great hope for building on our existing strengths and developing a really strong sports offering to the community."
