A KIDDERMINSTER drama group is preparing to stage its first play of the new theatre season at the Rose.

The Nonentities open with a black comedy thriller – ‘Going Straight’ by Richard Harris - with twists and turns that will keep you guessing right until the final scene.

Back in the good old days, Michael and Ray were East End villains, working together on a series of lucrative crimes. Today Michael is living a comfortable life in Spain whilst Ray is struggling to make ends meet in Britain. Out of the blue comes an invitation from Michael for Ray and his wife to make a visit to Spain.

Polly, a young researcher working on a movie, introduces yet more tensions to an already volatile situation between the wives. As the story of the men’s pasts are told, suspicions increase until finally the truth is revealed.

The play opens on Monday, September 12 and runs until Saturday 17. The curtain will be up 7.30 and people can call the box office on 01562 743745 or visit the website www.rosetheatre.co.uk for tickets.

Nonentities chairman Bob Graham, said “We would like to thank all our patrons for continuing to support us and returning after a very difficult time for all.

"If you would like to join the Nonentities Society or would just like a tour round the theatre and see backstage – props, wardrobe, the sound and lighting box – come along to the Open Day on Saturday 17th September between 10 am and 2 pm.
