Photos have captured the risk of flooding to homes in Bewdley today (Monday, October 23) as the river reaches its peak following the chaos of Storm Babet.
The River Severn levels have risen dramatically since Friday (October 20) with the water expected to hit its peak by tomorrow evening (Tuesday, October 24).
The river is currently at 4.48m with the highest level expected to reach 4.71m as some footpaths remain closed in the town.
Residents have said they are feeling ‘anxious’, especially around Beales Corner where the flood defences are unable to be deployed due to ongoing works to create permanent defences.
