Members of a Bewdley choir have raised more than £3,700 in support of men’s health during Movember.

Since 2003, people have been encouraged to ‘Grow a Mo’ to raise awareness for some of the biggest problems faced by men including suicide prevention and prostate cancer.

The Got 2 Sing choir in Bewdley, which is one of fifteen across the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Derbyshire and Gloucestershire, took part in the month-long event by encouraging its members to grow or wear a moustache to their choir sessions throughout November.

Founder and Director of Got 2 Sing, Beth Dunn, said: “The charity, Movember, funds ground breaking projects across the world linked to the biggest health issues facing men including mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

“We are so proud to be supporting this wonderful charity and it has been fantastic to see how the choir members have got into the spirit.”

The Got 2 Sing Choir Bewdley meet every Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9pm at Bewdley Secondary School.
