With a cold weather warning, icy conditions and potential snow around the corner, Severn Trent has reminded customers of the best ways to stay warm this winter.
Customer contact lead at the water company, Jodie Bowen, said: "Weather conditions are in for a big change over the next few weeks, so now is the time to make sure that your home is protected."
Advice offered includes using good quality waterproof foam for insulating pipes, fittings and storage tanks in unheated areas, and knowing the location of your stop tap for emergencies.
