Thieves have fled the scene of a burglary at a home in Kidderminster this morning after being disturbed by officers.

The offender or offenders forced entry to the vacant property on Stourbridge Road by kicking open the door.

The burglary happened at around 1.37am on Sunday, March 17, but police said it is unknown if anything significant was stolen from the empty house.

The building was left tidy inside and officers suspect they disturbed the thieves when they arrived.

West Mercia Police suspect there are two to three people involved but no descriptions are known at this time.

The incident comes following several other burglaries in the area where offenders have had more time inside the properties and stolen substantial metal from vacant properties.
