MORE than 350 vintage vehicles will be on display in Trimpley on Sunday as a popular event returns.

The sixth annual Trimpley Steam and Vintage Rally will be raising cash for charities, including the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Organiser, David Spruce, said he expected the day to be “the biggest and best yet”, with other attractions including a show by Forest Dog Rescue.

There will also be blacksmith and cider-making demonstrations, along with a car boot sale, trade stands and children’s rides.

Mr Spruce will also unveil a vintage truck he has been restoring for the last year. He bought the 1943 Austin K5 general purpose vehicle as “a total wreck” and said he had “put in a lot of hard work” to get it ready for the rally.

“There are only seven or eight of them left in existence out of 20,000 built for the Army in the Second World War,” he added.

The event takes place at Bite Farm, Trimpley Lane, from 10.30am to 5pm.
