AN 80-year-old man took to the sky to raise funds for Kemp Hospice.
Gordon Maycroft, of Stourport, joined his son, Hubert, 59 and grandaughter, Lisa, 26, in a tandem skydive.
They ascended to 3,000ft to freefall for 30 to 40 seconds, before parachuting back to Hinton Airfield, Northamptonshire.
Gordon said: “It was a perfect day. I’m very proud that my family came to support me. The important thing was to raise money for the hospice.”
Fifteen daredevil fund-raisers took part in the skydive and about £4,000 was raised for the hospice.
Beth Hillyard, hospice fund-raiser, said: “It was an absolutely amazing day. I would recommend a skydive to anybody. We are hoping to organise another skydiving day.”
