A MOTORCYCLIST has suffered serious injuries after he was in a collision with a car in Stourport.

The crash happened just after 5.15pm yesterday on the Kingsway. Three Ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found the motorcycle was under the front of the car. The rider was behind the car and there was damage to the windscreen.

“The rider, a 53-year-old Ludlow man, had a possible fracture dislocation to one arm, chest injuries and back pain. He was also knocked unconscious for a short period.

“The man was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board. The crew had to take particular care due to the nature of the injury to his arm. He was then taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, where medics were on standby for his arrival.

“The man driving the car was taken to the minor injuries unit at Kidderminster Hospital for a check-up.”
