THE funeral of a Kidderminster soldier killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan will be held today.
Lance Corporal Richard Brandon, of Broom Crescent, died instantly when his vehicle hit an Improvised Explosive Device, on September 2.
His funeral will take place at St George's Church, Radford Avenue, Kidderminster, at noon.
It will be followed by a private service at Stourbrige Crematorium.
A wake will be held at the Ramada Hotel, Bewdley, at 3pm.
L/Cpl Brandon leaves his fiance Emma-Jayne Webster, his parents, Anne and Geoff, two sisters and a brother, daughter, Kaitlin, 3 and stepsons, Martyn Raszke,12 and Liam Raszke-Webster, nine.
