When does NO mean NO?

Today Friday Oct 2nd The Irish people will be going to the polls to vote on the controversial Lisbon Treaty for the 2nd time (!! Lucky Them !!) in just over a year. We in the UK would love just one chance to vote on it & say NO as well.

In June 2008 the Irish VOTED NO, but did our EU masters say ok we accept the result and we now need to sit down and have a re-think as to why the Irish voted NO. France Voted No, the Dutch voted No so lets see what’s wrong, instead Ireland was slammed by many in the EU for daring to say NO after all the money they had received over the years, how dare they say NO and that really the population of a few million did not matter or count anyway, they were openly criticized by many Pro Europeans for rejecting the Lisbon Treaty.

The last time the EU had a re-think after the NO votes In Holland & France they just decided to basically rename the old EU Constitution to the Lisbon Treaty as this meant there was no need for any referendums & no repeat of the NO votes in Holland & France, but luckily for Ireland, it is the only EU country whose constitution requires new EU treaties to be approved via a referendum, but after the Lisbon Treaty this is gone as the Lisbon Treaty is self amending meaning there is no more need for any new treaties and definitely no more need for any more referendums on the EU it’s the final capture of any independence for any EU member countries.

This was of course the 3rd failed referendum on the EU Constitution / Lisbon treaty, even though the EU changed the name the Irish were not fooled by this and Voted NO, so what happens if the Irish vote NO again, will they be forced into voting for a 3rd time with even more empty promises, or as was talked about last time a split where the Irish would be left in 2nd class Europe, another scare tactic to bully the Irish into voting YES.

Its my belief that any changes In any countries law should be democratic and the people should be allowed to VOTE on those changes, but I am afraid this is not the case of how the EU intends to RULE & CONTROL our lives from birth to the end & now with the Lisbon Treaty we will have given up our independence and the right to govern ourselves, The EU calls it streamlining, I call it a takeover.

Whatever Happens you can be sure of one thing and that is the EU will get their president & their foreign minister no matter what !!! So Tony Blair may have left the sinking ship of Labour but he is poised to take on the role as the EU President.

Lets hope the Irish say NO again and there is a complete re-think on the EU, its structure, its aims, its control over so many people who are ignored when saying NO, Even the Pro Europeans want change but it will be too little too late if this Lisbon Treaty is pushed through.

I know Neville Farmer and the Lib Dems are in Favour of the Lisbon Treaty without wanting to give the people a vote on it.

So my Question goes out to Dr Richard Taylor (ICHC), Mark Garnier (CON) & Nigel Knowles (LAB) Are you in Favour of the Lisbon Treaty or Against?
