A HIQ franchisee has come up with a wheely novel way of raising money for Breast Cancer Care - courtesy of a more than 15 mile tyre roll from the Black Country to Kidderminster.

Staff at Easy Tyre & Autocentres are putting the nuts and bolts on a plan to complete a tyre roll from their Oldbury centre through to their Kidderminster site in Comberton Hill on Saturday, stopping off at HiQ Dudley on the way.

Using a 4x4 tyre for the occasion, a team of 10 will be pushing the wheel along pavements, shaking collection buckets in between pushing their way along the route.

Emma-Jane Kisby, Easy Tyre & Autocentre’s marketing manager, said she hoped the fundraiser would pocket £1,000 for Breast Cancer Care – HiQ’s chosen charity for 2010.

She said: “We have wanted to do something to remember for the HiQ fast fit network and we are all excited by this challenge.

“I am not sure how much training the guys have done for the big push, but I am sure they will all be in the right shape.”

Geraldine McGovern, HiQ’s marketing manager, added: “We really applaud everyone at Easy Tyre & Autocentres for setting the example for everyone to follow.

“We are sure that they will be noticed by a number of motorists and we hope that they show their support for the team on the day.”
