FUNERAL directors held a seminar in Kidderminster, hoping to dispel some of the myths surrounding the profession.

Bryden House Care Home, in Marlpool Lane, hosted the seminar, run by Philip Tomlins Funeral Directors, of Worcester.

The main objective was to assist staff towards qualifying for their NVQ certificates while also explaining the truth about myths and mysteries about the profession.

Gabby Sanchez, community liaison manager for Philip Tomlins, said: "We are always happy to organise our free seminars, as it has been proven to help care staff and is part of our service to the community."

Gemma Crowle, manager at the home, said: "We encourage our staff to attend a wide range of training in order to offer our residents the most professional care and were delighted that Gabby was able to present his seminar."
