MORE than 1,000 people have watched CCTV footage on YouTube of a dozy fuel thief stealing £300 worth of diesel in Kidderminster.
The Shuttle reported last week that businessman Richard Kimberley, who runs Computer Support and Internet Services Ltd, posted the images on the popular video site in a bid to catch the culprit, who stole the fuel from three of his vehicles.
Since The Shuttle ran the story, hundreds of people have logged on to the site to watch the four-minute video, bringing the total up to 1,043 by today.
It shows the man driving up to the car park behind the computer firm’s premises in Worcester Road in a recovery truck with a distinctive “bubble” car on the back.
Mr Kimberley said he had received a number of phone calls from people who had spotted the vehicles.
“The story created a lot of interest,” he said, “Everybody who drives can relate to it.
“It’s just a case of waiting for the police to catch him now.”
