WYRE Forest residents are invited to be guests at the Big Fab Wilden Wedding this month.

The marriage celebration will be on Saturday, June, 11 at All Saints Church between 11am and 2pm.

Former brides and their entourage can don their wedding attire once more and join those modelling for Kemp Hospice Wedding Boutique to relive their steps up the aisle.

A programme of organ and choral wedding music performed by the Wilden Concert Choir, Wilden Primary School Choir and Julian Manchee will accompany the parade of bride and bridesmaids dresses.

The music selection includes traditional organ entry and exit pieces and Widor’s Toccata, some Bach and Vivaldi from the concert choir and Beatles numbers from the joint choirs.

The two choirs will also sing the theme tune from the Vicar of Dibley and an arrangement of You Raise Me Up.

Get the tissues ready as Sharon Toy and Julian Richards will singing duets of From This Moment by Shania Twain and The Prayer as performed by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli.

During the interval, a mini wedding buffet, celebration cake and drinks will be served in the party tent.

Guests are invited to dress for the occasion so it is an opportunity to wear a special hat or outfit that would otherwise only be worn once. There will be a professional photographer on hand to get a memorable snap of the big day.

If you have a wedding or bridesmaid dress that you are desperate to wear again, call Pam Craven and offer to take another trip up the aisle. It is a non-speaking role and you will be able to join in at the party tent and have your photo taken.

The church will also be open between 10am and 10.45am and 2pm and 3.30pm when there will be a wedding fayre and dresses on display. Free entry and coffee will be available at these times.

Tickets for the concert and fashion parade include refreshments and are available from Pam Craven on 01299 878224 or pamela.craven@btopenworld.com or from Wilden Parochial Church Council members.

All proceeds will go to Wilden All Saints Organ Fund and Kemp Hospice. Seating is limited, so book early.
