Two mad scientists, two suitcases and a Tardis full of experiments will explode in Kidderminster’s streets this summer. Science in a Suitcase is presenting Which Way is UP? at this year’s Kidderminster Arts Festival. With amazing tricks and stunts, it promises to be science you never knew existed. The duo has appeared all over the world and featured on many television programmes. Loz Samuels, Wyre Forest District Council’s arts and play development officer, said: “This act is comedy and science all in one go.
“They’ll be trying all sorts of experiments you’ve thought about and then decided against. In Which way is UP? they’ll be attempting to reach the moon one step at a time and may need the audience’s help.
“The show is sure to go with a bang!”
Science in a Suitcase will be performing on Saturday, August 20 at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm outside Kidderminster Town Hall. And there is more science at KAF this year with the Circuit Benders workshop on Thursday, August 18.
They will help you to mutate toys and other strange noise making objects to create an orchestra of eccentricity at the performance later in the day. Participants need to take along a musical or noise making toy, like a ‘Furby’ or keyboard. Please note, it will not leave the workshop in the same condition as it entered!
The workshop starts at 3pm and runs until the performance at 8pm in the Boars Head Tap House on Worcester Street. It costs £5 and you must be over 16. Places can be booked online at www.wyreforest dc.gov.uk/KAF or by calling 01562 732984.
