Some of the best urban artists from all over Europe will be in Kidderminster for Subway Deluxe 3: ‘An upgrade of an underpass’. The live street painting in the subway between Comberton Hill and Worcester Street takes place as part of KAF on Saturday, August 20, starting at 11am.
It is a continuation of its transformation led by artist Dom Dunlea.
The artists will be accompanied by the band Narcoleptic Penguins who will bring their junk percussion drummers into the subway at noon.
Anyone wanting to join in the painting can attend a workshop in the Boars Head, Worcester Street, Kidderminster on Friday, August 19 between 11am and 3pm. It is free but you must be over 16.
The Subway Deluxe artists will help participants create design, make stencils and spraying techniques before making their mark on the subway. Both events are free.

Loz Samuels, Wyre Forest District Council’s arts and play development officer, added: “Jon has performed at events around the world and he’s coming to Kidderminster to create a large scale image before your eyes in minutes. He’ll be bringing, style, comedy, amazing painting and great tunes to our streets.”
Jon will be outside Kidderminster Town Hall and will be performing around town throughout the day.
