THE Friends of Springfield Park are urging dog owners to clean up after their pets so the area is sparklingly clean for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee event.
Throughout May, the group will be handing out free poo bags to dog walkers, ahead of its Jolly Jubilee Jamboree event on June 3.
The voluntary group are working with Wyre Forest District Council to provide three bins for the park in an attempt to reduce the number of people not picking up after themselves and their dogs.
Friends chairman, Joanne Knight said: "Springfield Park is a great place for the local community to come and enjoy and we would like to keep the park an attractive, clean and tidy place for people to continue to enjoy it.”
