A LEAFLET has been designed by Kidderminster pupils promoting the value of excellent school attendance to their peers.
Youngsters of Baxter College and the primary schools in its pyramid - Franche , St John’s, Sutton Park, Foley Park and Birchen Coppice - worked on the project during the summer term.
The fruits of their labour was launched at Baxter College and the leaflet will be used to encourage all school-age children to attend school as the pyramid strives for a minimum 97 per cent attendance.
Baxter’s headteacher Dave Seddon said: “Its key messages outline the social benefits of being with friends and acquaintances as well as the academic and long-term employment benefits.
“The leaflet follows on from the positive work carried out by our primary partners with Baxter College in raising attendance levels over the past four years, which has seen attainment levels rise across all the schools.
