WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers defender Jody Craddock has funded a new kit for a Cookley football team.
The Cookley Tigers are thrilled with their new yellow and black striped kit and will be wearing it proudly in the under 9s league.
Coach Derek Williams said: “It means the world to them. The kit they had before was four or five years old.
“It’s great to have Jody’s name attached to the kit. He’d an idol to them and they all look up to him.”
Jody’s own son plays for the Tigers as well as Mr Williams’ son Kieron, 8.
The team was originally created last year as an under 8s team and now play in the under 9s league.
Mr Williams added: “They’ve been really successful. We’ve won 17 out of 27 games which means we can stay in the first division.”
