A GROUP of mourners is set to gather outside the home of murder victim Betty Yates this afternoon to pay their respects to the retired teacher.

Forty people have confirmed they will gather near the 77-year-old's cottage Riverscroft, off Dowles Road, Bewdley at 4.30pm today with flowers and candles.

The invitation was sent out on Facebook by the creator of a group set up in Mrs Yates's memory called RIP Betty Yates, the best teacher there was.

The group has already received 327 "likes" and countless messages of condolence have been left for her.
