ARABLE and pasture land sold at auction in Worcestershire has reached up to £8,595 an acre.
Three Lots of Grade 3 and 4 land at Baughton near Malvern, extending to a total of 157.71 acres sold jointly through agents Savills and RG&RB Williams.
Meanwhile, 67.7 acres of bare arable land at Little Comberton near Pershore sold by Savills for £7,385 an acre.
Andrew Woollacott of Savills, who marketed the land, believes that the prices achieved are evidence of the strength of the local land market.
He said: “A combination of the scarcity and quality of this land drove significant interest at auction, resulting in very satisfactory prices for the vendors.”
