A RECRUITMENT agency has expanded into new premises as part of their ambitious growth plans.

eResponse Recruitment has officially opened its new branch and training academy in Foregate Street, Worcester, after completing a £60,000 refurbishment programme of the offices in Chilton House.

The 3,000 square-foot offices and training centre, which is already helping to support hundreds of local job seekers to gain the qualifications and skills they need to secure new careers, can cater for up to 70 people each day and covers a wide variety of courses including manual handling, security, logistics and business administration.

The growing agency was launched 10 years ago by brothers Paul and Joe Alekna.  The business now employs more than 30 people across its offices in Redditch, Kidderminster and the new-look Worcester branch where the expansion has brought four new jobs.

“We expanded the business into Worcester over three years ago and in that time have got to know the local jobs market inside out and vitally, what the city’s businesses look for in terms of people skills and talent.” said Paul, the agency’s managing director.

“That knowledge, and the fact that we can bring together recruitment services and bespoke training under one roof, has seen us working with many local businesses since 2010 to fill vacancies and prepare people for their new careers.

“I think offering a tailor-made approach to our recruitment and training has played a big part in our growth in the city and has helped people back into work – often with new skills.”

Last month eResponse Recruitment celebrated 10 years at their first branch in Redditch and in March announced the opening of their new offices and training centre in Kidderminster. The new-look Worcester branch employs six people.

Paul, 33, added: “The reaction to our new branch in Worcester has been excellent and I am keen to expand our team further in the city over the next 12 months.

“It’s no secret that the economy continues to be tough and in some parts of the region there are seven people chasing every job. That means there has never been a more important time for jobseekers to have the skills that businesses here in Worcester are craving. I am delighted we’ve been able to play our part.”
