A UNIQUE baby blue version of Worcester Bosch Group’s Greenstar Compact CDi boiler has been created in honour of the royal birth and to raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Rolling out the red carpet on the factory floor, the Worcester, Bosch Group production line has produced the baby blue version of its own “baby” boiler, the Greenstar CDi Compact - the manufacturer’s smallest condensing combi boiler - to celebrate the new addition to the royal family.

Sue Pennington, consumer brand manager at Worcester, Bosch Group, said: “As a British heating manufacturer with a Royal Warrant, we couldn’t let such a momentous occasion pass us by.

“This year, we too welcomed a mini addition to the Worcester Greenstar family and so we thought it would be a great way for us to pay tribute to the future monarch by creating a blue version of our own baby boiler.

“This will be a memorable day in British history and at Worcester we are proud to do something special to celebrate.”

The baby “boy-ler” will now be raffled to raise money for a Acorns Children’s Hospice, which provides care and support for life-limited children.

Fans of the royals who want to get their hands on the limited edition CDi Compact can visit the baby boy-ler Just Giving page and donate £5 to Acorns before Tuesday, August 6 at 6pm.

After August 6, a winner will be chosen at random from all the people who donated.

Rachel Cranny, corporate fund-raising officer at Acorns Children’s Hospice, said: “Worcester Bosch Group is a long-term supporter of Acorns and their continued enthusiasm for developing new and creative ways to support us, such as this one-off boiler being up for grabs, is fantastic.

“We rely on fund-raising for the majority of the £8 million plus needed every year to run our vital services providing care to local life-limited children and their families.

“The commitment of organisations like this is vital to ensure we can continue our work. I’d like to say a big thank you on behalf of everyone at Acorns.”
