KIDDERMINSTER-based renewable energy specialist Eco2Solar has signed a Preferred Supplier Agreement with constructor Galliford Try.

It will take on its existing solar PV contracts as well as being given the opportunity for its new solar energy contracts.

The agreement was earned following a bid process with four specialised solar PV companies.

Galliford Try is an FTSE 250 house building and construction group. Its brands include Linden Homes and Morrison Construction.

To maintain continuity and to support the transition, Eco2Solar has agreed to utilise existing resources and the supply chain.

Eco2Solar managing director Paul Hutchens said: “I am both delighted and proud to be working in partnership with such a well-respected and prestigious client as Galliford Try.

“This is the start of an exciting period for our business. We now have a solid platform to build a strong sustainable renewable energy business, enabling us to broaden and further extend our Eco2 brand.”

Eco2Solar provides renewable energy solutions nationally for domestic, new build and retrofit, commercial and social housing customers.

The business set up by Mr Hutchens has grown since 2007 to employ more than 35 people.
