THE bollards along Severnside North in Bewdley are there to narrow the road and to create a safe walk way for pedestrians.
The bollards nearer the bridge have been removed to allow large vehicles to gain access to Severnside North from Load Street.
My concern is that vehicles are parking illegally in the space where the bollards would have been despite yellow ‘no parking’ lines.
In an emergency such as a fire or medical need, the emergency vehicles would be unable to access the road.
I have asked the Enforcement Officers to take action against those who park there but unfortunately they do not work in the evenings.
However, I have asked the police to take action as these vehicles are causing an obstruction, as are the vehicles that park on the footpath further along Severnside in the evenings.
