LABOUR seem determined to spread misinformation in the Wyre Forest about Ukip’s policy on health. They repeatedly state that Ukip have plans to privatise the NHS. So let me set the record straight and put a stop to this scurrilous propaganda from Labour activists once and for all.

Ukip is 100 per cent committed to keeping the NHS free at the point of use for all British nationals, and funded out of general taxation. Ukip will also abolish hospital car parking charges.

The fact is Labour and the Tories are already privatising the NHS by stealth. 5.9 per cent of our health service is outsourced to the private sector.

Labour is responsible for 4.4 per cent of this process.

I believe if they gain power they will continue this further. Labour’s Lords, Winston and Warner, have already suggested a charge of £200 to see a GP or for a stay in hospital. This idea first surfaced just five months ago.

The truth is a Ukip government would put £3bn into the NHS – something we know we can do without having to borrow or to waste billions.

By contrast, Labour’s private finance initiative (PFI) deals have proven a calamitous mistake. They raised £50bn by selling out to the private sector.

To add insult to injury, this has left us with a staggering bill for £300bn in repayment charges. What a disgrace.

Labour have privatised large chunks of our NHS while managing to rack up massive debts in the process.

Worcester Royal Hospital is a Labourapproved PFI that is seriously struggling to service this massive debt.

Labour have a record of financial incompetence. On two occasions since the 1970s, they have brought Britain’s economy to its knees. Do we really want to give them the chance to make it a hat trick?

Labour has learned nothing from its history of financial disaster. Their current plans risk hospital closures and fewer beds. Let’s not forget it was David Lock, Wyre Forest Labour MP , who presided over the downgrading of Kidderminster Hospital and failed to defend our A&E.

Labour have repeatedly shown that they are slaves to the national party line. They can’t be trusted to stick up for local people and local issues in Wyre Forest.

They talk the talk but they serve the London, cork-popping, champagne socialist elite.
