WITH reference to “Variation of Condition 6 of planning approval W/10/02896/OUI”, I wish to raise a number of points .
Of note is the decision by Worcestershire County Councils Highway Authority to have no objection to grant of permission to vary this condition.
They appear to have according to their letter “had significant discussions with the developer’s agent prior to the submission of this application” and the request to vary the condition was in line with their discussions.
These discussions are a normal part of the planning process .
However, it is essential for all improvements to the Martin Hussingtree junction to be completed before any development takes place so that the flow of traffic is not hindered in anyway.
There are already queuing and tailback problems at peak times at this junction, any delays will cause further problems and potential traf fic accidents .
What proof does the Highway Authority have if this variation is gr anted that there will not be a causal effect that is detrimental to the entire area?
It is usual to put “the horse before the cart” and not the other way round.
My objection remains.
