WE REFER to the letter “Parking problems” written by R Kilgour. The parking problem in Princess Way, Stourport, has been addressed and double yellow lines will be in place at the junction of Chesshire Avenue shortly.
R Kilgour will know that several requests for action in this area have been turned down many times in many years. Our persistence of not giving up has finally paid off with the police having the final say.
The reason we are now turning our attention to problems in Lichfield Street is because we believe we have now succeeded with the Princess Way saga.
Mark Garnier MP is helping us with this one purely because we and local residents asked him to get involved.
We shall be employing the same persuasive tactics as we did with Princess Way.
