I WOULD like to thank the 745 people that have so far signed my petition to prevent Kidderminster's Driving Test Centre from closing.
I would also like to thank Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate Mark Garnier for all his support in fighting to keep this essential local service.
The public response to it has been pleasing. However, I will not be happy until the people of Wyre Forest are informed that the test centre will remain open.
Seventy per cent of Wyre Forest district is rural and we do not live in an area where public transport can be justifiably subsidised by the government like in the city (where there are illogically many more test centres).
Thus, people in our district need their cars and Wyre Forest learners shouldn't be put at a disadvantage when taking their legally obliged test.
