I AM preparing a book for publication next year on the history of the Kidderminster branch of the famous Harveys wine merchants of Bristol. This ceased to trade at the end of 1967.
I would like to talk to anybody who worked for the firm or has anything of interest to tell me about how it operated. If anybody has any artefacts or documents concerning Harveys, I would welcome the opportunity to study them.
Apart from being a history of the company, the book will explore all that is known about the historic vaults or cellars which Harveys occupied in Coventry Street and were destroyed in the creation of the Swan Centre in 1968.
I would dearly like to talk to anybody who has knowledge of the detail or layout of these cellars and those adjoining them on either side.
