THE Royal National Institute of Blind People is the main UK charity providing help and support to people with serious sight loss. We rely on voluntary contributions to keep our services running and many blind and partially sighted people in the Wyre Forest area rely on us.
We are looking to recruit volunteers in the area, specifically people who would like to train as a “volunteer public speaker”.
Maybe someone with some experience of speaking to groups or people who feel that, with training and support, they will be confident to do so two evenings a month.
You will enjoy researching and approaching organisations in your local area to offer your services as a speaker as well as speaking out for people who feel excluded from their communities.
You will be someone who can inspire others to support us in our vital work with people with sight loss.
If you like to get out and meet new people, please contact me because maybe you are just the person we are looking for.
Full training and local support will be given and all out-of-pocket expenses paid. If you would like further details please call 01452 721298 and I would be delighted to speak to you.
