Cake for Bronson

Look-alike cake: The Charles Bronson birthday cake. Look-alike cake: The Charles Bronson birthday cake.

A KIDDERMINSTER woman has made a look-alike birthday cake of notorious prisoner Charles Bronson.

Kim Reece baked the twotier sponge cake with a chocolate filling after being asked by members of the Charles Bronson Appeal, which held a party to celebrate his 60th birthday, in Wakefield Prison, where he is currently locked up.

The former bare knuckle boxer got his name as Britain’s most dangerous inmate after taking hostages, fighting prison officers and attacking fellow inmates.

Ms Reece, who bakes from home for friends, said: “It was a bit of a shock being asked to do a cake for him but business is business.

They contacted me after seeing pictures of my cakes.

Charles Bronson is an extremely violent, volatile & highly dangerous criminal responsible for seriously injuring numerous people. Business is business eh?

Cynical
He WAS is the correct statement. Charlie hasn't been violent in over 12 years and just completed a violent reduction programme. He has served his time and more for the crimes he has done. Are there now ex prisoners walking the streets where you live???

Perhaps we can politely highlight a couple of points:
Charlie has never fought bare knuckle... ever. The belief that he was a BK boxer is taken from the film 'Bronson' - which contains lots of inaccuracies.
For Cynical Sid (and anyone else who feel compels to comment on Charlie), please do your research first. Charlie has been non-violent for some 13 years now. He recently completed the Violence Reduction Programme and is working towards freedom via a third Appeal. We work to expel the many myths that exist about Charlie including 'he is Britain's most violent criminal,' 'he is a danger to the public' and lots of other commonly held beliefs. The truth is, Charlie is entering his 40th year imprisoned and is 10 years over his recommended tariff. This is not British justice when murderers, rapists, terrorists and paedophiles are released back into society. Anyone who is interested in learning about the REAL man can google search for us.

Makes a change for hard working law-abiding people to make a living out of the scum of british society, rather than the other way round.....especially those who have made good money off thier notoriety like Bronson (i.e.have a look at the number of books he's 'written' and are on the shelves of WH Smiths)

Charlie hasn't made 'good money' out of the books he has published, the money has gone to publishers.
Unles you have access to his finances - as you seem to know the man's personal business.
He also made nothing from the film before you make that suggestion. You may want to look at the terrorists, rapists and murderers surrounding you that have been released from prison before you label Charlie 'scum.' He could do far more productive things on the outside than most people we know!
