A BODY has been found in South Worcestershire in the hunt for missing Dudley man Garry Foster.

Mr Foster, 53, was last seen in Kidderminster on Sunday after leaving his Dudley home earlier that day.

He was believed to have been carrying a licensed shotgun and was wanted by West Midlands Police in connection to serious sexual offences.

The body was found in an area of Claines, off Hawford Lock Lane just after 2.15pm today following a call from a member of the public after a four-day media appeal to trace him.

At this early stage it is believed that Mr Foster committed suicide with a firearm which has been recovered from the scene.

West Midlands Police Superintendent Andy Parsons said: “Our aim was always to find Mr Foster. Unfortunately our searches appear to have come to a tragic end.

“We continue to support the family with specially trained officers."

Up to 75 officers, including armed officers from both West Midlands and West Mercia police have been involved in the search for Mr Foster.
