A KIDDERMINSTER man who short-changed the seller of an iPod has been fined for what a Recorder termed "a stupid offence.
David Chitty had advertised the item for £25 but Lee Saunders gave him only £20, Worcester Crown Court was told.
Toni Muller, for Saunders, said the difference only amounted to £5 and he suggested that the technical theft should be marked by a conditional discharge.
Recorder Richard Burns agreed and ordered Saunders to pay £100 costs and a victim surcharge of £15. The conditional discharge is for two years.
