A KIDDERMINSTER nurse has been honoured by the town’s Mayor for her work in the community.

Kim Stokes, who is a district nurse with Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust was recently presented with an award from the Mayor of Kidderminster, Councillor Rose Bishop, at a private event.

The evening which was organised by Fred Holland, who also nominated Kim for the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust Patient Choice award which she won in October.

Cllr Bishop hosted Kim, along with Mr Holland a number of her colleagues, friends and family in her parlour at Kidderminster Town Hall for an evening of celebration.

Mr Holland said: “Kim is an inspiration to all nursing staff.

“She really cares about her patients and always goes the extra mile for all of us.

“She is such a genuine, lovely person and the care she provides is second to none. I wanted to make sure Kim’s hard work and dedication was recognised.”
