A MAN who stole two hampers from Kidderminster's Debenhams was found the same day by police.
Jamie Walker took the two hampers, worth a total of £51.20, from the Weavers Wharf store on October 25 making no attempt to pay.
Prosecutor Leslie Ashton said he was caught on CCTV before being found later that day without the items.
He was arrested but when he was interviewed he chose to make no comments.
The 30-year-old, of Dunlin Drive, Kidderminster, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 6.
District Judge Nigel Cadbury fined him £75 and ordered him to pay £51.20 in compensation to the store, £150 in court charges, £105 in prosecution costs, and a £20 victim surcharge.
