THE annual Stourport Christmas Market will take place at one of the town’s primary schools this weekend.

The market at Stourport Primary School, in Park Avenue, on Saturday (November 28) will feature a number of stalls from independent traders selling items including scrabble art, festive cards, decorations, cupcakes, watercolour art, jams and chutneys and handmade dog accessories.

Children will also have the opportunity to make mosaics to take home and take part in Sugarcraft decorating. There will also be a bouncy castle set up outside the school.

Gareth Owen, event organiser, said: “The Stourport Christmas Market has grown year on year and is proving a very popular event to visit.

“With lots of interesting independent traders you are going to find that extra special Christmas gift here that you wouldn’t normally find on the high street.

“All money raised from this event will go towards books for the new school library.”

The school will also be running a chocolate and bottle tombola, as well as a raffle supported by local businesses including West Midland Safari Park, Stourport Manor, Webbs, Morrisons and WH Smith.

The market will be open between 11am and 3pm. Entry will be free and free parking will be available near the school on Park Avenue.
