A STOURPORT woman died as the result of a known risk from necessary surgery, an inquest heard.
Dorothy Carroll, 77, of Lindon Avenue, became unwell and was admitted in Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Following surgery, her condition declined and she died on August 31, 2015.
An inquest held by Worcestershire Coroner's Service, which opened September 17, and closed on Monday, February 8, ruled Mrs Carroll died as the result of a known risk of necessary surgery.
The medical cause of death, confirmed at the inquest, is listed as acute ischaemic left lower limb, arterial thrombosis, metastatic adenocarcinoma of unknown primary site and laperortomy and small bowel resection for ischaemic small bowel, deep thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
