AN inquest has opened into the death of a biker tragically killed in a crash in Bewdley.

Allan Wright, 63, from Dudley, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the A456, Bewdley Bypass, outside Wharton Park Golf Club, in Long Bank, at around 11.30am on Thursday, June 9.

The Worcestershire Coroner’s Service opened an inquest into the cause of his death on June 15.

It was adjourned for a final hearing on August 11. The medical cause of death will be confirmed at the inquest.

His heartbroken wife Helen, children Ashley and Abbie, and granddaughter La-shae described him as a loving husband, dad and grandad.

A statement from the family said: “Allan was a home lover and family man who had a passion for life. He adored and was devoted to his wife Helen, his children Abbie and Ashley, also his granddaughter La'shae.

“He had also welcomed with open arms into the family, his future son-in-law Matt and future daughter-in-law Bekki.

“Every opportunity he had, he would be out with his wife on their motorbikes, putting plenty miles on the clock.

“When he was at home he would always be found messing in his shed.

"He was recently talking about going on another family holiday and making it extra special for his granddaughter.

"None of us at the moment can see a future without him.”
