COUNCIL officers took down ‘Leave’ banners that had been placed on a traffic island in Kidderminster.
The banners had been placed at the Island on the main Spennells Valley Road, at its junction with Comberton Road, in the town.
It is against election law to place campaign material on public structures such as a traffic island.
It is thought Worcestershire County Council acted yesterday (Wednesday, June 22) following a tip off by Wyre Forest District Councillor Fran Oborski.
