ENGINEERS are on site to repair a gas leak in Kidderminster town centre this afternoon (January 9).
National Grid engineers are currently on site at the leak in Dixon Street - outside Shipley's Bingo and Social Club.
While the work is on-going, there is a partial road closure in Dixon Street.
A spokesman from National Grid said: "Our engineers are currently working to trace the exact location of the gas escape on the pipe and repair it.
"To keep everyone safe while we are working, there is a partial lane closure in place.
"We expect the work to take about a week, but we will keep people updated."
The spokesman added: "We are sorry for any inconvenience caused but the safety of local people is our top priority."
