KEMP Hospice is hoping more daredevils will take to the skies this year, to beat their 2016 records.

During last year, 30 people leaped out of planes to raise money for Kemp Hospice.

More than £14,000 has been raised in sponsorship with a high number of local businesses supporting the hospice - including employees from Hogarth's Stone Manor, Tesco Kidderminster, Painters Solicitors, Oakleaf Commercial Services, Midcounties Co-op and Avensys UK.

Kemp Hospice itself supported two staff members and two volunteers as they tackled the 13,000 ft skydive in the summer.

Shelley Stanley, challenge and events fundraiser at Kemp, said: "2016 has been our best ever year for supporters doing a parachute jump and we are so very grateful for everyone who took part and raised such a fantastic amount.

"It costs Kemp £1,000 for every person we support, so this will enable us to provide our services to another 14 people, making a huge difference to their lives and their families."

Kemp Hospice is hoping to better this success in 2017 and have three more parachuting days lined up - with the first taking place in April.
