A KEY chunk of Kidderminster town centre’s main retail has been put up for sale for almost £4million, it has been revealed.

Real estate firm Savills announced the eight unit parade in Vicar Street has been put on the market, by it's current private owners, for a guide price of £3.365million.

Tenants in the units include big High Street names such as WH Smith, Superdrug, Carphone Warehouse, Three, Trespass, Greenwoods Menswear and Thomas Cook.

The parade, which totals 22,722 sq ft on the ground floor, also has one unit which is currently sitting vacant.

Savills also said there is 12,185 sq ft of vacant upper floor office space, which is accessed separately from the shops and would be suitable for residential conversion.

The company also said the total passing rent is £286,500 per annum.

Located on Vicar Street, the parade sits within the main pedestrian thoroughfare between Weavers Wharf, The Swan Shopping Centre and Rowland Hill Shopping Centre.

It also sits in the part of the town centre that has been part of Wyre Forest District Council’s £2million public realm improvement project.

Matt Jenns, associate in the investment team at Savills Birmingham, said: “This prime retail parade offers strong tenant covenants, as well as the potential to enhance long term income by letting the one vacant unit and converting unused office space above into residential use.”
