Golden anniversary: Members of Areley Kings Wives Group with leader Audrey Daw cutting the cake.
ARELEY Kings Wives Group celebrated 50 years with a golden anniversary party at Areley Kings Village Hall.
A painting was unveiled in commemoration of the occasion paid for by the family of long standing member Mary Smithurst in her memory.
There was also a presentation of photos taken by Audrey Daw during her 32 years as leader of the group.
Mrs Daw said: “Old friends and new enjoyed a splendid evening where a special celebration cake was cut.”
The group meet every second Thursday of the month. New members are welcome and there is no annual charge.
