AN EDITOR from Bewdley had been lying dead at his home for some time before he was found, a Stourport inquest heard.
Gerard Phelan, of Hafren Court, was found dead at his flat on October 5 last year.
Police officers forced entry into his home and found the 58-year-old lying on his back on the floor at about 9.21am.
Deputy Coroner, Margaret Barnard, said: βIt appeared he had been there for some time. There were newspapers and mail near the front door.β
She added that the cause of death was unascertained and recorded an open verdict due to the absence of evidence.
