EX-pupils of a Kidderminster school can relive their classroom moments and catch-up with old friends at a reunion which will raise cash for charity.

Former King Charles I School students who left between 1980 and 1995 are invited to the bash, being organised by ex- pupils Simon Kimberlin, Stuart Beardsmore and Samantha Rowe.

They have kept in contact with some of their old classmates and have already had interest in the event from people who have moved out of the country and those who have stayed in Kidderminster and married their school sweethearts.

The trio organised next month’s reunion at the Oldfield hall at King Charles for people to reconnect with their old school friends.

Mr Kimberlin said it would be a “great event” at a “great venue with top entertainment”. There will also be a raffle with 80s prizes and the bar will be in the old tuck shop.

“Instead of going to buy sweets, as we did when we were at school, we will be going in there to buy our drinks,” Mr Kimberlin said.

He added cash left over from the night, on April 21, will be donated to the Midlands Air Ambulance, Conductive Education, which helps people with motor disorders and disability charity Scope.

“These charities are close to my heart as my daughter Jaimee was born with cerebral palsy two years ago and Scope along with Conductive Education have been a great help to us and Jaimee, improving Jaimee’s quality of life no end,” said Mr said: People can get tickets for the reunion, which starts at 7pm, by contacting Mr Kimberlin on 07557 970 373, or at facebook.com/simon.kimberlin.

They can also email simon.kimberlin@facebook.com, or reunion@gmx.com. Alternatively people can join the reunion group facebook.com/groups/Kingy25th/.
