A GRANDMOTHER made a splash and raised more than £550 for a charity that supports her Kidderminster grandson who has a rare developmental disorder.
Fran Gibbs, of Stourbridge, swam 100 lengths in a national teddy bear relay for the Smith Magenis Syndrome Foundation. It supports families of children and adults with the disorder.
Mrs Gibbs’ four-year-old grandson Samuel Hunt, of Alder Avenue, suffers from the condition, which causes moderate intellectual disability, delayed speech and language skills, distinctive facial features, sleep disturbances, and behavioural problems.
