A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital after being crushed between two vehicles.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a property on Northwood Lane in Bewdley at 10.45am Sunday, April 8.
A local community first responder was first on scene and was backed up by an ambulance crew, paramedics, a BASICS doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance.
An ambulance spokesman said: “A woman, believed to be in her 50s, had reportedly been momentarily crushed between two vehicles after one had rolled off a car ramp and collided with a stationary vehicle nearby.
“Neither vehicle was occupied.
“When crews arrived they found the woman lying on the floor near the vehicles. She had sustained significant fractures to her legs and suspected pelvic injuries.
“The woman was given pain relief before the team of ambulance staff and the doctor worked together to stabilise her injuries. She was immobilised with a neck collar, spinal board, leg and pelvic splints before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.”
The woman is believed to be in a serious but stable condition.
