THERE are a host of events lined up in Wyre Forest to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

They include a tea dance hosted by The Shuttle and Wyre Forest District Council, on May 31.

Music lovers will be entertained with a weekend long celebration of 60 years of music, which starts on Friday, June 1.

It is being organised by the Boars Head in conjunction with the Boars Head Gallery. There will be more than 30 local bands and DJs performing as well as arts and poetry events.

It will start on the Friday at 7.30pm and then on Saturday, June 2, Sunday, June 3 and Monday, June 4 from noon until 2am.

Kidderminster Arts Festival Creatives will also be presenting a contemporary arts exhibition and workshops as part of Worcestershire Arts Trail, in the Boars Head Gallery.

Revellers can enjoy a Rock and Roll Party in the Park at the Riverside Meadows, in Stourport on Sunday, June 3.

Everyone is invited to come dressed in red, white and blue and bring their own picnic from midday until 8pm.

Bands performing on the day include The Heartbeats, Delray Rockets, Colin Paul and the Louie Cochran Trio.

Meanwhile, on the following day, Brinton Park will be hosting a party.

The fun starts at 4.30 pm and will run until 10pm. There will be performances from local artists Benny Jay, Blind Lemon, Lauren Alexandra, Chris D. Salter and Stourport Brass Band.

The Got 2 Sing Show Choir will also be performing and will lead a public sing-a-long.

Party-goers should dress in red, white and blue and there will be a best of British fancy dress competition.

Everyone will celebrate 60 years of the Queen's reign with a patriotic sing-along followed by a firework display at 9.50 pm.
